I have a laptop hard drive and want to use it with my xbox 360 considering i only have 4gb?

The xbox i have is a slim one and i have tried many things and i had a spare laptop that i never used and formated it not sure what to and tried it in my xbox and i didnt work i have no clue what to do plz help i also do not have a os on the hard drive eny more so i want a program to be bootable from a cd plz help
